Why God Will Always Do as He Promised and His Word Will Never Return Void

Introduction: Understanding the Reliability of God’s Promises

For centuries, people have turned to the Bible for guidance and support in their lives. One of the most important aspects of the Bible is its promises – promises made by God to his people. But how can we be sure that these promises are reliable? How can we have faith in God’s word?

The reliability of God’s promises is a topic that has been debated by scholars and theologians for centuries. Some argue that these promises are absolute and unchanging, while others believe they are more flexible and open to interpretation.

In this section, we will explore the concept of biblical promises and examine how we can understand their reliability. We will delve into what it means to have faith in God’s promises and how we can apply this faith in our daily lives. Ultimately, our goal is to gain a deeper understanding of God’s word and its power to guide us through life’s challenges.

The Power of God’s Word and How it Cannot be Broken

The Bible is more than just a book – it is a source of power and truth. God’s word has the ability to transform lives, heal brokenness, and bring hope to those who are hurting. The scriptures contain unbreakable truths that have stood the test of time and continue to guide millions of people around the world.

The power of scripture lies in its authority. God’s word is not just another opinion or perspective – it is the ultimate truth that transcends all human understanding. It speaks directly to our hearts and souls, providing us with guidance, comfort, and wisdom in every area of life.

Despite being written thousands of years ago, God’s word remains relevant today. Its message is timeless and universal, speaking to people from all walks of life regardless of their background or circumstances.

Examples from the Bible of How God Kept His Promises Despite Circumstances

Biblical stories, Abraham and Isaac, Joseph in Egypt, David and Goliath, Daniel in the Lion’s Den

The Bible is full of stories about God’s faithfulness to His promises, even in the midst of challenging circumstances. These stories serve as reminders that God is always with us and will fulfill His promises, no matter what obstacles we may face.

One such example is the story of Abraham and Isaac. Despite being asked by God to sacrifice his own son, Abraham remained faithful and trusted that God would keep His promise to make him the father of many nations. Another example is Joseph in Egypt, who was sold into slavery by his own brothers but ultimately became a powerful ruler because he trusted God’s plan.

The story of David and Goliath also demonstrates how God can use even the most unlikely person to accomplish great things when they trust in Him. Finally, Daniel’s unwavering faith in God while facing persecution and being thrown into a den of lions shows how God can protect us even when we are in danger.

These stories are just a few examples of how God kept His promises despite difficult circumstances in Biblical times, and they continue to inspire us today.

Today I want to talk to you about unlikely and difficult circumstances that cause you to doubt God’s promises. Are you having a Sarai moment and find it absolutely hilarious that you will bear a child in old age? Are you feeling like Joseph, who was thrown into a pit and sold as a slave by his own brothers, wondering if his dreams of becoming a great leader were just illusions? It’s understandable to question God’s promises when we are faced with seemingly impossible situations. However, it’s important to remember that God’s promises are not dependent on our circumstances. He is faithful and His word never fails. In fact, some of the greatest examples of faith come from those who faced impossible odds but still believed in God’s promises. Abraham and Sarah eventually did have a child in their old age, and Joseph went on to become a powerful leader in Egypt. So if you find yourself doubting God’s promises today, take heart and hold onto your faith. Remember that nothing is impossible with Him, and His plans for your life are good. Trust in Him and keep believing that He will fulfill His promises in your life.

OR have you already gotten a down payment on the promise and are now wondering if this is really the path for you? I never wanted to be a lawyer. I work every day in awe of God’s glory and marvel how he took me from where I was and brought me to here. so now my question is why? What exactly am I supposed to do here? I may not have it all outlined and may not know exactly how His promise will come to pass, but I believe it will. I hope against hope, belief against unbelief, know it will come to pass.

The Importance of Trusting in God Even When We Don’t See Immediate Results

In life, we often find ourselves facing trials and challenges that test our faith in God. It can be difficult to trust in His plan when we don’t see immediate results or when things don’t go the way we want them to. However, it is during these times that having faith in God becomes all the more important.

Trusting in God requires patience and perseverance through trials. We must remember that His timing is not always our own and that He works in mysterious ways. Even when we don’t understand why things are happening, we must trust that He has a purpose for everything.

Having faith in God also means trusting in His plan for our lives. We may not always know what the future holds, but we can rest assured knowing that He has a plan for us and will guide us along the way.

So even when we don’t see immediate results or things seem uncertain, let us hold onto our faith in God and trust in His plan for our lives.

How to Apply This Truth to Our Lives Today: Living a Life Fueled by Faith not Fear

In today’s world, fear seems to be ever-present. We worry about our health, our finances, and the safety of our loved ones. It can be all too easy to let fear dictate how we live our lives. However, there is an alternative way of living that is fueled by faith instead of fear. Living by faith means relying on Scripture for strength and guidance. It means being confident in the hope that we have in Christ, even in the midst of uncertainty and difficult circumstances. By turning to prayer and seeking God’s wisdom, we can find a peace that surpasses all understanding. This peace allows us to face our fears with courage and resilience, knowing that we are not alone and that God is always with us. Living by faith also means cultivating a positive mindset. Instead of dwelling on negative thoughts and potential outcomes, we can choose to focus on the good things in our lives. We can practice gratitude for what we have, rather than worrying about what we lack. This shift in perspective can make all the difference in how we approach challenges and setbacks. Ultimately, living by faith means trusting in God’s plan for our lives. It requires surrendering control and trusting that He has a purpose for everything that happens to us – both good and bad. This may not always be easy, but it is incredibly liberating once we fully embrace it.So if you find yourself struggling with fear or uncertainty today, remember that you have a choice. You can let fear control your life or you can choose to live by faith instead. By turning to scripture, prayer, positivity, and trust in God’s plan, you can experience true peace even in the midst of life’s storms.

Conclusion: Resting Assured that No Matter What Happens – We Can Trust that His Promises Will Always Come to Pass

Throughout life, we often face challenging circumstances that can shake our faith and leave us feeling hopeless and uncertain about the future. However, as believers, we have a source of comfort and strength that can help us weather any storm – a deep trust in God’s promises.

No matter what happens in our lives, we can hold onto the hope that all things work together for good for those who love God. We can be assured that He will never leave us or forsake us and that His promises will always come to pass.

So LET US hold onto hope despite difficult circumstances, trusting in God’s plan for our lives, and resting assured that no matter what happens – He is always with us.

The Unbiblical Obsession with Weight Loss and How to Overcome It

Introduction: What is an Unbiblical Obsession with Weight Loss and How Can We Overcome It?

Everyone wants to look and feel their best, but an unhealthy obsession with weight loss can have serious consequences. It can lead to body image issues, dieting obsession, and fitness obsession that could potentially cause long-term physical and mental health problems. In this article, we will discuss what an unbiblical obsession with weight loss is and how we can overcome it. We will also explore the various ways in which this unhealthy behavior can manifest itself in our lives and the potential dangers of this type of thinking. By understanding the root causes of our unhealthy obsessions, we can take steps to ensure that our goals are realistic and attainable without compromising our health or well-being.

According to the Merriam-Webster dictionary, the definition of “obsession” is “an overwhelming preoccupation or interest with something that causes a marked degree of interference in one’s life.” It can also refer to “a debilitating and injurious mental condition marked by obsessive thoughts, compulsive actions, and a sense of urgency.” While weight loss is not inherently unhealthy or dangerous, an obsession with weight loss is unbiblical because it leads people to make decisions that result in physical and emotional pain. When our goals are based around God and his will, we can make decisions that help us become more like Christ. What are some of the consequences of obsessing over weight loss?According to Dr. Heather L. Boonstra, the consequences for obsessing about weight loss include: “Problems with eating; a decrease in physical activity; disordered eating behaviors (e.g., binge-eating or restricting); an increase in mood disorders (e.g., anxiety, depression, moodiness); and body image issues.” It is also related to high levels of stress and low self-esteem which can lead people to feel depressed or anxious.

How to Avoid Society’s Pressure to Be Thin

Society’s pressure to be thin can be overwhelming, and it can lead to unhealthy habits and a negative body image. It is important to remember that everyone is different and our bodies come in all shapes and sizes. We should not compare ourselves to others or strive for an unrealistic body image goal. Instead, we should focus on developing healthy habits that will help us achieve our own individual goals of being healthy and happy. This article will discuss how we can avoid society’s pressure to be thin, stop comparing ourselves to others, and set healthy body image goals.

Biblical Advice for Weight Loss

Losing weight can be a difficult journey for many, and seeking guidance from the bible can help provide spiritual and emotional support throughout the process. By looking to biblical advice for weight loss, you can gain a better understanding of how to maintain physical and mental well-being. From verses about health and wellness to guidance on eating habits, there are plenty of ways that you can use the bible to help you reach your weight loss goals. In this article, we will explore how biblical advice can be used to achieve healthy lifestyle changes in order to reach your desired goals. .2 Timothy 2:3-4 was a verse that spoke about the importance of keeping oneself in good spiritual health. In order to stay healthy, it is important to have a strong relationship with God and maintain a lifestyle that honors Him. The bible also provides numerous verses and encouragement on how to be physically fit, such as Psalm 77:7-9 which encourages readers to walk around the mountains and valleys of God’s creation. There are many verses throughout scripture that speak about working out, so being active is also an important component for maintaining your physical well-being .You might think that physical activity is not important because you don’t feel like you need to move, or because your body feels fine. You might not be aware of the extent to which your body needs exercise and movement. Here are some facts about physical activity:Exercise lowers blood pressure and cholesterol levels by improving circulation. Exercise also helps prevent osteoporosis for those who have been inactive for a long time due to health conditions or injuries, such as arthritis or broken bones. Physical activity can help prevent heart disease and improve overall cardiovascular fitness – in particular, aerobic fitness (cardiovascular stamina).

Unhealthy Habits That Lead To an Unbiblical Obsession with Weight Loss

Many of us struggle with our weight and are constantly looking for ways to lose it. Unfortunately, this can lead to unhealthy lifestyle habits and an obsession with extreme weight loss goals. This can be a danger to our physical and mental health, as well as our spiritual wellbeing.

Binge Eating

One of the most common unhealthy habits that leads to an obsession with weight loss is binge eating. Binge eating occurs when a person eats large amounts of food in a short amount of time, usually without stopping to eat or drink water. This can lead to serious health complications such as diabetes, heart disease, and stroke. It can also lead to emotional problems such as depression and shame. If you find yourself struggling with an addiction to food or bulimia, it’s important for us to make sure we get the help we need from people around us and check out other healthy alternatives. When it comes to fighting our own battles, we shouldn’t struggle alone. My personal struggles with my body image led me to a world of fat positivity, where people were not only learning how to accept themselves for who they are, but also learning how to love their bodies and encourage those around them. I don’t know if fat positivity is the answer but it might be a huge help is stopping Binge Eating. Please get help if you need to do so.

Over- Exercising

Another common unhealthy habit that comes from obsession with weight loss is over-exercising. Those who are constantly working out to stay thin often cause injuries that can lead to irreversible conditions. .Although the change in weight can be frustrating, it’s important not to give up and not to obsess. Weight loss is about slowly and sustainably removing fat, not about “spot reduction,” or losing weight quickly. You should always focus on a healthy lifestyle instead of altering your body by means of an extreme diet or exercise program. Don’t focus on your fat. Set your thoughts on becoming healthy or moving your body easier and not obsession about number on the scale. Again, if you need help, do not hesistate to reach out to a friend, family member , church member, or trusted mental health professional.

Under-Eating

Consuming too little food is another unhealthy habit that has become increasingly common. This can lead to detrimental health effects such as fatigue, decreased immunity, and a lack of essential nutrients. Furthermore, it can also cause an imbalance in energy levels throughout the day and can lead to poor concentration and focus or passing out in the street. I speak from experience. Whatever fad diet is asking you to eat 1,000 calories is a lie. Your body is not designed to live on that as a grown adult. I am NOT a certified nutritionist and I believe that eating food that is nutritious and nutrient-dense is not just important for weight management and health, but also important for optimal brain functioning. Do not starve yourself. Again, if starving yourself has become something you can no longer control, please please please ask for help. Your body is the temple of the holy spirit. And you must eat to live so that holy spirit may live in you.

So let’s treat ourselves better in the coming weeks and think health, not skinny. Think movement, not obsession with weight.

What is the Significance of Jesus’ Resurrection?

The resurrection of Jesus is one of the most important and significant events in Christianity. It marks the victory over death and sin, and is seen as a sign of hope for those who believe in Jesus. By rising from the dead, Jesus showed that He had power over death, and that He was God’s son and savior. This event has been a source of inspiration for believers throughout history, as it symbolizes the possibility of eternal life through faith in Jesus Christ. Furthermore, it serves to remind us all that no matter what life throws at us, we can always look to Him for strength and guidance.

Jesus’s resurrection is often referred to as “the resurrection,” or “Christ’s resurrection.” Some believe it happened on the third day after His death, while others believe it happened on the first day after His death. The New Testament does not specify the date of Jesus’s crucifixion, and many scholars do not consider it a certainty that Jesus was crucified on a Friday afternoon. However, the most common view is that Jesus was crucified on Friday around noon. The third day is generally thought of as the first day of the Jewish Passover, which would make it either Saturday or Sunday, depending on how one interprets Passover and what time Jesus died.

The Gospel of John is one of the three major gospels that provide information about the life and ministry of Jesus, one more than the other two. As such, this gospel provides many details about Jesus’s death, burial, resurrection and glorification. According to John’s account, after Judas arrived at the garden to betray Jesus with a kiss (John 13:27-30), Jesus prayed in Gethsemane for “the hour” or “time” when He would be given up for our sins (John 17:1). The disciple who was appointed to stay awake with Him committed suicide by falling on his sword while the disciples slept, at which point Jesus awoke them and told them to have no fear. According to Mark’s account, after Judas arrived at the garden to betray Jesus with a kiss and Jesus prayed in Gethsemane for “the hour” or “time” when He would be given up for our sins, the disciple who was appointed to stay awake with Him remained awake and prayed (Mark 14:36-42). When Judas arrived at the garden, Jesus gathered His disciples together and said “Whom do you want me to release unto you?” provoking Peter in particular to say that he wanted Jesus to release Barabbas. Jesus then said “For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?”After this is when Jesus had His famous “My God, My God, why have you forsaken me?” conversation with God. Christianity has taken many forms over the past two millennia. The majority of Christians are Christian by belief, not necessarily by faith. This means that they identify themselves as Christians but do not practice their faith on a regular basis, or do not consider themselves to be “true” Christians in the traditional sense. Christianity is also divided into many different denominations and branches, each of which can be further divided into smaller groups. As a result, there are more than 2 billion Christian disciples worldwide as of 2014. All Christians, however, agree that the Resurrection story is a big deal. The idea that our Savior conquered death itself can give us a huge sense of relief regarding the daily struggles that we face. The power of the Resurrection is revealed in Christianity’s very name. The word “Christian” derives from the Greek “Kristos”, meaning “the anointed one”. This can be literally translated as “Christ-ian”, which is defined as someone who believes in Jesus Christ. Christians are those who follow Jesus through self-sacrifice and service, striving to live a life that would please Him. Christianity’s founder was not only visited by God , but also produced miraculous signs and wonders, including the Resurrection. Jesus was said to have been crucified, buried, and then three days later he resurrected. Following this event, Christianity underwent a widespread growth period in the first century A.D., reaching its peak at the time of Constantine (who converted to Christianity in 313), and has since spread to every corner of the globe.

One of my favorite Christian songs has the lyric the Ressurected one is ressurecting me. we can all agree that there are dead things in our lives that could use resurrecting. The story of how Jesus caused the dead to live means that he can resurrect dead things in our lives, including dead relationships. Jesus once stood before the disciples and said, “I am the resurrection and I am life.”He breathed life into those who were already dead, and united them with His own life. Since we are also one with Christ, we also have the power to speak life into ourselves and others. What situations in your life can you speak life into? What God-given relationships can you raise from the dead?

How can we live out the resurrection in our lives today?

How Work Can be an Act of Worship for Christians: A Guide to Making Every Day Count

Introduction: Why Work as Worship Matters and How to Make it Happen

Many people have a hard time reconciling the idea of work and worship. This can be true both in the sense that they are difficult to combine, or they simply don’t believe it is possible to work as worship. For example, some people believe that only the most spiritual people are able to make time for prayer while they are at their job (http://blog.hayhouse.com/the-church-and-the-workforce/). Some say we should leave our jobs or church behind when we’re done for the day because we just don’t get anything out of it anymore (which may be true). What is important to remember is that work and worship are both important parts of our lives. We can’t discern what God is calling us to do without being in the world, and neither should we leave the Church behind when we’re done for the day. This article provides an insight into how both sides can come together by examining the idea of work as worship, the benefits of it for workers, and how to make it happen.

The Work Ethic in Christianity and Other Religions. The idea of a Christian “work ethic” gained ground during colonial America’s period of emergence from Puritanism. The idea of a “work ethic” in Judaism is seen largely as the obligation to participate in the Jewish economy, working for a living and paying taxes. The idea of a “work ethic” is central to Islam, which condemns idleness as an affront to God’s creation.

Virtually every religion in the world has some way of conceptualizing how to integrate faith with the work we do every single day. Work can become worship. when we are able to see the progress of our hard work and dedication in all sorts of ways, from being recognized by others who have benefited from our labor, to being rewarded for the time we invest in our work.As you begin to spend more time at your job, it’s important that you keep up with your spiritual practices so that your faith doesn’t waiver. Whether you’re a believer or not, keeping up with spiritual practices is important for personal growth. If you are religious but feel like something’s missing from your life, this might be the first step in figuring out what changes need to be made. “The religious life is the only life that can sustain itself in a state of radical openness. It has no other choice.” –John Caputo. When you feel like something’s missing from your life, take an inventory of how you feel and why you’re feeling this way. Maybe it’s because your faith is flagging, or something else is bothering you.

Steps to make your day work more like worship

  1. Before you rush off to work, make sure you’re covered by spending time with God. Even 5 minute prayers before your commute count. Do not start the day without talking with God. It is important to keep up with our spiritual practices so that we can grow spiritually.
  2. Don’t focus on your feelings. Acknowlege and take inventory but don’t let them run away with you. Most of our productivity and opportunities to be compassionate are wasted when we get wrapped in how we FEEL. Feelings are not facts. You may feel like you’re being terrible at your work, yet your supervisor has a different opinion. You may feel like your coworkers are gossiping behind your back and hate you, but they may be planning you a surprise party. Don’t get sucked into your feelings.
  3. Pray more specifically. Maybe your day needs to begin with praying over every task on your to do list and every person you know you will encounter.
  4. Emergency Prayers. When agitated, take a moment to pause and pray. I’m dating myself but I still remember the whole be cool about fire safety publicity campaign when I was a child. They told us to “stop, drop, and roll.” Thankfully I have never been on fire and had the opportunity to use this sound counsel but I get on fire at work, I get caught up, inflamed in passionate anger… and for that I have stop and pray. Who knows? Maybe being more specific about what I’m struggling with, right in the moment of the struggle with instantly cool that fire.
  5. Add a Playlist. Music helps me so much with my workday. When I’m in my office and I’m writing, I love to have a good worship playlist going.
What can you add to this list?
